There are four Government-owned electricity businesses that consist of both retail and network arms. The names and contact details of these businesses are listed below.

The retail parts of the businesses are also referred to as "standard retail suppliers". Standard retail suppliers have a geographic area within which they are required to:

• Arrange connection to premises of customers who apply for standard supply; and
• Supply customers with electricity on standard terms and conditions set out in a standard form customer contract and at prices regulated by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).

The standard retailer suppliers also have a network business. These distribution network service providers are responsible for maintaining and operating the poles and wires that are used to deliver the electricity to your premises.
